I would never, e'er, ever say that the style someone dresses, or a state of affairs they purposefully put themselves into makes them "deserve" whatever handling they become. That'south an asshole belief of the highest accordance.
Only goddamit, this book made me one of those people.
These women are so far from sympathetic that if I were to come across one of them in existent life, I would punch each of them in the face. Specially Liza.

Ugh, this volume could turn me into 1 of those people.I would never, always, ever say that the way someone dresses, or a situation they purposefully put themselves into makes them "deserve" whatsoever treatment they get. That'southward an asshole belief of the highest accord.
Only goddamit, this book made me one of those people.
These women are and then far from sympathetic that if I were to meet one of them in real life, I would dial each of them in the face. Particularly Liza.
This volume was written many many moons after the fact. When they were "older" and "wiser" and realized how awful their lifestyle really was, and how pleased they were to help other women non become prostitutes.
"I looked in the mirror, at my tight hot little body. Goddamn, I am and then fucking sexy and men just love me."
"I had just been invited to someone's firm, all expenses paid, and found out it was because they wanted to apply me for sex activity. GASP! What kind of girl do you recall I am?! Just then this guy invited me to his business firm, all expenses paid. Hell yes! What could peradventure Get Incorrect?!"
YOU FUCKING MORON. Y'all MADE ME THINK YOU DESERVED THE TREATMENT YOU GOT, WHICH MAKES ME AN ASSHOLE, AND PISSES ME OFF Even More than THAN YOUR Breathy DUMBFUCKERY.
...moreNo this is non a well-written volume.
No this is not a book that should be read by many.
Notwithstanding, if I'1000 still talking about it (every bit I did after concurring with a friend about not loving Shades of Gray 2 but then saying "Only did yous ever read this book, You'll Never Make Love in This Town Again?") So funny, a lot of us accept the same comments in our reviews. No this is not a well-written book.
No this is not a book that should be read by many.
However, if I'1000 still talking virtually information technology (as I did later concurring with a friend about not loving Shades of Gray two simply so maxim "BUT did you always read this book, Yous'll Never Make Love in This Town Again?") And I thought it was amazingly shocking and spellbinding then, and still retrieve it now several years later.
I too read this a long time agone (Pre-Goodreads I presume since I didn't review) - and still call back so many lurid details from this total trashy gossipy amazing improve-than-US/Enquirer/People tales too. I didn't call back the call girl/drugs "don't do what I did" aspect of the book as much as the celebrity tales - which there are many, and in full technicolor.
I also found my copy at a (library) used volume sale for $.25.
Once my book club heard about it, we all read my copy (although it wasn't ever the month'southward selection... but a must-read that we all were shocked & amazed by.) If this is your sort of thang, and y'all tin detect a copy, you will most likely be unable to put it downward - and will pass it on to all similar-minded friends.

I found this book at a thrift store and was intrigued and since I only paid 25 cents for it I didn't have a lot of expectations for information technology. That beingness said, the book was nonetheless kind of a stinker. The stories being told are sold as a cautionary tale to young women in Hollywood who let the men telephone call the shots, and how these 4 women immune that power to pb them into a life of drugs and prostitution. However, the stories were full of bragging and glamour and never reached the right balance of "it was all great UNTIL this bad affair happened and boy did I learn my lesson..." Instead, it was a checklist of the celebrities that they'd slept with and spilling secrets nearly who liked to exercise what behind airtight doors. They glamorized the amounts of money that they made and how they justified it - you've been giving it abroad for free for so long, why not get paid for it? - and it seems that if they hadn't bottomed-out and/or ended up in jail they wouldn't take ever stopped. At the stop of each story, there is a customary pass-the-buck caption well-nigh why they used drugs or sexual activity for attending and e'er with a judgement with "don't exist similar me" but they never established themselves as whatever kind of role model. Information technology was odd. Nothing that they said/wrote about would brand me modify my mind at all if I were considering that lifestyle. In fact, this book is a How To manual on beingness a call girl the right way. Which is sad, considering that its intention was to salve girls from this wheel and promote the power that a adult female has over her own destiny.
Plus, it was a distracting read because it didn't appear to be edited at all. The writing was all pretty clunky, which is forgivable since these are phone call girls non novelists, but the spelling errors and crazy layout hiccups were difficult to ignore.
I'm sure some people will be interested in the 'gossip' attribute (who does what behind closed doors) but it didn't really stand out equally smashing gossip. A lot of people like kinky (and not-so-kinky) things, and if you're incredibly wealthy, yous might spend some of your fortunes on fulfilling those fantasies. That shouldn't be such a surprise, but maybe I'm merely not as innocent and I should be.
...more thanIt is raunchy, and voyeuristic, and not really well written, though information technology's an easy read. Then it too makes me wonder about the fascination on my finish with the subject matter. I think of it every single time I hear an Eagles vocal. I call up about it every time I hear virtually Olivia Newton-John, George Harrison, Vanna White, Lorenzo Lamas. You just think, yuk yuk yuk. . . every time you ever see a reference to any of the men, or their wives, or their ex-wives, forever after! Oddly, there was not much hoopla about the book at the time, and it's just fizzled out of the mainstream. I expected Don Henley and Glen Frey to go pariahs or file a bunch of lawsuits, simply plainly either nobody believed the book, nobody cared, or nobody read it.
...more thanEqually I began reading the kickoff story in the book, Robin's, I was heartbroken to hear most how her parents had neglected her and facilitated her almost-rape and being pimped out by an older female "friend".
But then instead of being a cautionary tale and revealing the mechanisms, the brainwashing and how it chips away at a young girl'southward/woman's psyche the volume t The introduction was promising every bit the editor, Joan Parrent intimated her sexist experiences with some of the loftier and mighty of Hollywood.
As I began reading the first story in the book, Robin'due south, I was heartbroken to hear about how her parents had neglected her and facilitated her near-rape and being pimped out past an older female "friend".
But then instead of being a cautionary tale and revealing the mechanisms, the brainwashing and how information technology chips away at a young girl'due south/woman'southward psyche the book turned into one large orgy.
1 account after another of whom Robin sexually serviced in what way and how disappointed she was when the men wouldn't love her but only use her... zip self-sensation here. Not even in the epilogue.
The other iii stories didn't read much better. At points I was wondering what their upshot was, because the way they talked nearly their "clients" or famous men they slept with didn't sound exactly very abusive or scarring. Naturally, prostituting yourself will leave its mark, and never a good one, what I'm maxim is that the 4 women and the editor didn't manage to drive that signal home, to really illustrate what it does to a person. The emotional component was completely missing.
Tiffany, the last of the four women, actually makes a brief mention of this at the very end of her narration. She states that all of her experiences left her completely emotionally numb and that she cannot fifty-fifty experience sorry for having brought other girls into this lifestyle/into prostitution.
See, I UNDERSTAND that! In fact I would expect that even, just that the process of losing your innocence, morality, humanity is completely missing in any of these chapters.
Information technology frequently reads more similar sweetness revenge instead of anything else, dropping a few famous actors' names in social club to go recognition and attention.
Everything this book should have been information technology wasn't unfortunately, and so nope...this really wasn't for me at all. ...more

SLEAZE: Someone talked about this volume one dark at the bar. Intrigued, I texted my librarian gf asking her to pick it up. I hope she was non embarassed getting information technology from her colleagues. It pretends to be a warning against the evils of prostitution and guys who do not respect women. Simply it'southward much more like a boasting about how hot the women are (constantly they talk about their bodies, and how no one could keep their eyes off them). I don't know that much about celebrities and information technology was written in 1995, so some were (to me) obscure. Over and over they talk about the sense of entitlement rich hollywood dudes have, just expecting women to have sex with them because they are famous OR being able to pay big bucks for whatever kinky, and sometimes violent, fantasies they accept. But there'southward a ton of mixed messages in there. I woman will have sexual activity with a famous guy and then call up to herself "he merely got for costless what others would pay $10,000 for! He thinks he can just have me because he's famous!" And so she'll slumber with him once again. And then complain that she didn't even go a gift.
Parts are sad - some of the women were coerced into prostitution. And there were parts that were abusive.
What I learned: George Harrison likes to play the ukelele while getting a bj.
...moreIt is supposed to be a cautionary tale, and I recall it accomplishes that task quite well. Information technology definitely removes all the gloss and lightheartedness that Pretty Woman tries to sell y'all.
And Sylvester Stallone, that is messed up man.
Unfortunately John Ritter is no longer with us to issue a right of reply.
...more thanThe book is at start salacious and and then greatly depressing. A movie that comes extremely shut to what the experience feels similar in You'll Never Make Love in This Boondocks Once again is American Gigolo with Richard Gere. The book is at first salacious and so profoundly depressing. In that location volition exist lots of name-dropping of famous people, just the more the prostitutes talked well-nigh their times and what they did, the less their stories mattered. It was about throwing abroad their lives for nix by being at the beck and call of the others who did not value them any more than they would for yesterday's paper. I thing in the volume that struck me extremely odd is how much afinity these prostitutes had for materials past describing the interiors and exteriors of houses, hotels, and establishments they visited. That's when I knew they had a warped sense of reality.
All in all, like Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Alive of the Stars, You'll Never Brand Love in This Town Again is a tough, disturbing read about the sex lives of many celebrities.

too it appears to be a good tool for weeding out the wheat from the chaff in that a lot of people do not have the mental fortitude to process the invaluable information this contains.....!! aka a lot of people on goodreads are really stupid. why u gonna read this goofball sex volume if u call up women are impaired sluts who deserve to get browbeaten? go fuck yourselves tbh
...moreOh what a guilty pleasance THIS was! I do occasionally love me a smutty book. This is a supposedly true story of a group of Hollywood ladies and their trysts with various male person celebs.
Yeah..it is trashy and tawdry but fun as anything. Some of the stories..they will accept you lot laughing..I mean..actually laughing. So fun. Who knows if any of it is true? I sure indeed did enjoy reading it though.

Desire some sleaze people?Oh what a guilty pleasance THIS was! I do occasionally love me a smutty book. This is a supposedly true story of a group of Hollywood ladies and their trysts with diverse male person celebs.
Yep..it is trashy and tawdry but fun as annihilation. Some of the stories..they will have yous laughing..I mean..really laughing. So fun. Who knows if any of it is true? I certain indeed did relish reading it though.
I cannot give this more than than a two considering I have no way of knowing if any of information technology is real. It is like the Enquirer on speed. Just a few juicy morsels:
Matt Dillon is a major histrion
Rod Stewart does 1 of the tackiest things I have ever seen.
Glen Frey from the Eagles (RIP Glen) is every woman'due south dream lover.
My fav..George Harrison (RIP) Plays the ukulele during sex! I mean..in that location is some seriously decadent shit in here but it is neat as an escape..particularly during Coronas Virus. (I read it years ago notwithstanding).
This maybe the merely time I have ever recommended a volume I rated a ii. Seriously though..it sure does have the shock value! No literary masterpiece just very very fun and crazy.

I believe some of these stories and have serious doubts most others.Primarily I felt this was a book written out of spite and bitterness past a bunch of done-up whores who tin can't really make a living by banging celebrities anymore so they've decided to air their sexual deviancies out of agony.
I also get the distinct impression that some of them were in love with some of these famous men and experience the need to put them on blast since they did non requite the feelings and fulfill their ridiculous "Pretty Woman" blazon of fantasies. At to the lowest degree one woman pretty conspicuously indicates this is the case for her.
Pathetic even if information technology is entertaining. Or is information technology entertaining fifty-fifty if it is pathetic? Yous make the call.
